about me - long

home

i'm a trans guy who's been on the internet for a very long time (got on WAY too early lol) but it wasn't until 2018 that i felt confident enough to start interacting in fandom spaces. i want to make friends!!! but i'm still a bit nervous lol

my home situation is kind of not great, so i use fandom as a form of escape. i have depression, generalized and social anxiety, and osfed/ednos. i've spent time in psychiatric institutions as a result of these, and was medicated for a very long time. as of december 2nd 2020, i have a confirmed ADHD diagnosis that simply never went addressed, because we were dealing with everything else at the institution lmao

i'm sort of anxious and worry a lot that others hate me. i'm also extremely forgetful and unfocused. it takes me a long time to reply, so if you send a message and i don't respond, i'm either distracted, freaking out, or working

misc.

i'm either 100% obsessed with a fandom or i do not care. likewise, i either obsess and treasure a character, or i ... don't notice them. this isn't to say that i dislike them - they just, don't appear on my radar. at all. i apologize in advance

i have a job? and i'm also terrible at time management. this combination of things leads to me like, straight up ghosting accounts or servers. i promise i'm not disinterested! i'm either busy with IRL shit or i got distracted by something else. or i forgot. i'm sorry.

there are certain topics that i avoid because of how triggering they are. i'm not going to disclose them because i dont trust the internet with jackshit. but yeah

DNI if:

you're a conservative, transphobe, homophobe, etc.

you believe/engage in racist, ableist, ageist, or classist rhetoric. this includes insulting others for their physical appearance and intelligence

you're a terf, truscum, think that lesbians can't use pronouns other than she/hers, or support bi/pan lesbians

you call undocumented people "illegals," support deportation, or speak about issues of puerto rican statehood/independence without claim to the island or its history

you ship incest (blood and/or adoptive), any type of sexual/romantic relationship between a minor and an adult, or post/consume provocative/explicit/suggestive shit involving minors.

you age up young characters in order to write explicit shit of them

related to above, if you're an "anti-anti," "pro-shipper," or engage in that "live and let live" shit, ESPECIALLY if you're a whole-ass adult. are you using it to cope with trauma? lock it down on private and talk with your therapist, do NOT put it on platforms flooded with children and predators

"the age of consent in x is this/it was normal in that time period" i dont care !!! you're nasty!!!!

you think psychiatric wards/institutions are a cool au setting and have no background living in one

you take criticism of authors/content personally. i promise you it's possible to find something entertaining while acknowledging its incredibly harmful flaws

if you "reclaim" slurs on behalf of other people

fuck off if you ship:

megastar
endhawks
bakudeku
royed

vladdanny
sessrin
inucest
elricest

if i see you posting/consuming nasty shit i'm going to block you
